About Ms. Rice

I am in my fifth year of teaching. I did my student teaching at Hahira Elementary School which is part of the Lowndes County School System. Go HES Kindergarten! I graduated from Valdosta State University in May 2004. I taught Pre-K in Valdosta for a year and a half. I now teach at Mitchell County Primary School and live in Thomasville, GA. I feel so blessed to be working at a good school with helpful and caring teachers. I attend First Baptist Church in Valdosta, GA. I love teaching kindergarten! During school breaks throughout the school year I love to go visit other schools and meet with the teachers to see some of the things they do in their classrooms. I am always looking for new teaching ideas to use in my classroom. When I am not teaching I am shopping. My favorite color is pink. I also love animals. I have a 12 year old Labrador Retriever named Brutus, a Rottwieler named Polichinelle, a 1 year old Cocker Spaniel named Fraser, three cats Nala, Laurie Madison, and Drosselmeyer, and a gerbil named Belle.
